Academy and setup

Twenty-five lessons, then the plant’s own rooms.

Academy is 25 lessons, about 400 minutes. Onboarding, areas and lines, the sensor registry, and gateways and data sit in setup beside it. A new plant does not start from a blank dashboard. It starts from areas, lines, sensors and a gateway that already knows how to buffer.

What setup actually contains

Onboarding

The path for a plant that has just signed in: rooms, people, and the first signals, before anyone is asked to trust a chart.

Areas and lines

The names the shift already uses. In the demo those areas are Production, Cold Storage and Warehouse, on one floor map.

Sensor registry

Every point the admin has enrolled. The floor shows temperature, humidity, door open or closed, process temperature, tank level, weight, a water meter, energy in kW, vibration in mm/s, and machine state: running, idle, stopped, fault, maintenance or offline. The sensor catalog also includes dew point, CO2, pressure, flow, level, pH, ORP, conductivity, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, moisture, water activity and Brix.

Gateways and data

When the connection to the cloud drops, the gateway keeps readings and syncs them later. The screen shows a buffered count, and an operator can choose Sync now or Pause sync. That is store-and-forward for a dropped link. It is not a claim that a battery rides through a power cut. Connectors are set here too. Connectors are MQTT, OPC-UA, Modbus, PLC and Gateway. MQTT subscribes to a broker. OPC-UA is mapped node by node, for example ns=2;s=Line1.Crusher.Temperature. Readings can also arrive over HTTPS with an ingest token.

The demo simulator

The demo simulator can run a power failure, a sensor offline, or a cold room fault. Those are scenarios in the demo plant, not a record from a customer and not a battery test. Use it to see a priority queue and an alert list move. Do not treat a simulated power failure as proof that a battery kept a gateway alive. Make and model of the gateway are still unpublished. The behaviour you can see is the buffer and the sync.

Academy is how a new operator learns the floor without standing in a cold room for the first hour. About 400 minutes across 25 lessons. It is not a certificate, and this site does not claim one.

If your team will learn this on shift, say who the first three users are. Admin, maintenance and operator are the roles, and MFA is on for all of them.
